CUSTOMISEROCKET GUIDE / DUALSENSE EDGE
Install your Rocket Games TMR stick module safely in a DualSense Edge wireless controller, then check function, centre and movement range.
01 / INSTALLATION
The modular DualSense Edge system allows replacement without opening the controller housing. Still work calmly and without force.
All Rocket Games stick modules are carefully inspected and tested before shipping. Disconnect the USB cable, use a clean work surface, and do not touch or misalign sensitive contacts. Never force components into place.
All Rocket Games stick modules are carefully inspected and tested for proper function before shipping.
Turn the controller off completely and disconnect the USB cable. Stick module connectors are very sensitive. Do not touch contacts; avoid excessive pressure or misalignment when inserting.
Unlock and remove the DualSense Edge front cover. Open the locking lever, align both stick modules correctly and slide them fully and cleanly into their slots. Secure them with the locking lever and replace the cover.
After locking, press both stick modules firmly down again with your thumb so they sit fully and securely in the slots.
After locking the modules, wait at least 10 seconds so the controller’s power supply and initialisation can complete.
First connect the DualSense Edge with a USB cable, ideally to a PC. Open hardwaretester.com/gamepad and check all inputs and both stick axes in real time.
If the controller does not connect and the status LED remains white, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. Then press the small rear reset button for a few seconds using a paperclip or similarly thin object. Reconnect via USB and repeat the function test.
If the controller still malfunctions, press both modules down again with your thumb. Alternatively, remove them and gently blow contacts and slots with dry, low-pressure air. Do not use liquid. Reinsert and lock correctly, disconnect and reconnect USB, then check detection again.
A stick module that is not fully inserted or correctly locked may malfunction or go undetected. If the issue remains after reinsertion, USB connection and reset, contact Rocket Games customer service.
Direct answers about compatibility, installation, calibration and safe settings for the TMR stick module for DualSense Edge.
The module is designed for the Sony DualSense Edge wireless controller with replaceable stick modules, not the standard DualSense controller.
No. DualSense Edge is designed for tool-free stick module replacement. Do not use screwdrivers or prying tools on the cover or modules.
Yes. Turn it off completely and disconnect all cables before removing the cover or stick module.
Do not force it. Remove the module, check orientation, slot and locking lever, then reinsert it straight.
This gives the controller time to complete power supply and initialisation of the inserted modules before USB connection and testing.
If there is no connection and the LED stays white, reconnect the USB cable and reset with the small rear reset button. Then test via USB again.
Check centre and movement range first. Calibration is needed only for reproducible measurement deviations or if required by the supplied product information.
Very small centre values can result from mechanical tolerances and measurement resolution, and do not automatically mean in-game stick drift. What matters is whether input occurs without touching the stick.
If the module is not detected, does not fit securely or shows unusual values after testing, use the Rocket Games service portal and have your order number and controller model ready.
