01 / OPERATION & SAFETY
Choose a chapter or follow the guide step by step. Safety instructions always take priority over gameplay and setup tips.
Stop using immediately if the controller becomes unusually hot, leaks liquid or produces unusual sounds or smells. Disconnect all cables and contact support.
Connect the controller via USB-C to a PS5 that is on or in rest mode. The light bar slowly flashes orange while charging and turns off when fully charged.
If the controller does not charge, first check the USB data cable, USB port and PS5 rest-mode power supply setting.
Keep controller software up to date. Follow the update prompt on PS5. On Windows, use the official firmware updater for DualSense wireless controllers.
Before updating, charge sufficiently, connect directly with a USB data cable and do not disconnect during the process.
Paddles: Use your model’s remapping sequence and check the assignment in-game afterwards.
Switch Trigger: In short 1 mm mode, we recommend disabling the adaptive trigger effect in PS5 settings.
Force Gears: When changing a stick cap, press the base firmly down with your thumb so it stays securely fixed.
LED: Make changes only using the button combination specified for your model.
For games such as Call of Duty, we recommend starting with:
The optimal setting depends on the game, platform and your preferred aiming feel. Test sticks independently of the game before starting calibration.
No connection: Connect directly with a USB data cable, press the PS button and restart console and controller if needed.
Not charging: Try another suitable USB-C data cable and USB port; check rest-mode power supply.
Stick deviation: Test outside the game first, then check game deadzone. Calibrate only for reproducible deviations.
Issue persists: Use the Rocket service portal and have your order number, model and a brief error description ready.
Brief answers about connection, charging, firmware, TMR sticks and Rocket controller features.
Turn on the PS5, connect the controller with a USB-C data cable and press the PS button. When the player indicator lights up, the controller is registered.
Charge through a PS5, a PC or a suitable PS5 charging station. Use an input of 5 V ⎓ 1,500 mA, not an arbitrary smartphone power adapter.
First check the USB-C data cable, USB port and PS5 rest-mode power supply. Try another suitable port. If the issue persists, use the service portal.
On PS5, follow the update prompt. On Windows, use the official DualSense firmware updater. The controller must be sufficiently charged and connected via USB.
When using short 1 mm trigger travel, we recommend disabling the adaptive trigger effect in PS5 settings.
As a starting point, we recommend a minimum deadzone not below 2 and a maximum deadzone not above 95. Then adjust the values to your game and preferred aiming feel.
Use only a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents, harsh chemicals or wet cleaning wipes, and keep liquids out of openings.
